In my experience, the most memorable weddings I’ve been to (and I’ve been to A LOT) are the ones that the couple incorporated themselves, their personalities and their relationship into the details. There are so many fun ways to do this and it will be an amazing way to ensure your guests reflect on your special day with fondness for years to come. The more the better! Everyone attending is there to celebrate and honor the love story of you and your fiancé, don’t hold back on in fear of doing “too much”.

Here are some of our favorite things we’ve seen/ favorite ways to personalize your special day:

Personalize Your Seating Chart

Honor your guests in a thoughtful way with a favorite memory, sentiment or just a note of gratitude. In these charts the couples incorporated photos of their guests along with personal notes. This can be done in an extremely cost-effective way with posterbaord, envelopes, CVS photo prints and cardstock, or you can get as fancy with it as you desire. The intention will be felt by your guests no matter what.

For the bookish couples- how amazing and creative is this seating chart?! We love the sustainable element of covering the books in paper that can be kept or recycled rather than permanently marking the books for the occasion. Although the simple brown and white looks amazing, you can make it your own by decorating the paper by hand or choosing a special color or patterned paper to wrap the books in! This can be done in a very cost effective way if you use books that you already have, or thrift books that you plan on reading or donating afterwards. You can also be on the lookout for a bookshelf that you can upcycle or thrift to display them on your wedding day that you will also use in your home afterwards!

For the Sporty couples-this is such a fun way to incorporate your love for the game into your celebration of love! These are just two ideas, but the options are pretty limitless for making it your own. Whether you want to create a “bracket” for your seating chart, honor your favorite team or teams, customize baseballs/tennis balls, etc. Get creative with it!

For our Swftie couples- incorporate your favorite lyric (this applies to any artist) into your seating chart and/or create friendship bracelets for each of your guests! It is a thoughtful display that also ends up being a gift for them to remember the night by every time they wear it. Although these particular displays look fairly elaborate, you can make a scaled down version using a heavy duty poster board and display it on an easel or several if needed. Or for the DIY folks, you can get some wood and create your own chart!
