Your Wedding Celebrates More Than Just the Two of You
Your wedding day is a celebration of the people who helped you get here, too. The friends who have known you forever, the family who watched your relationship grow, and the people who traveled to celebrate this new chapter with you.
We create live guest portraits as a way to make those people feel like part of this new beginning and not just attendees.
While you enjoy your wedding, we'll be creating one-of-a-kind portraits that your guests can watch come to life and take home afterward. It's entertainment, a keepsake, and a little piece of your wedding day they can keep forever.
The Live Art Experience
How does it work?
Claire and Josh will arrive at least 1 hour prior to all bookings to get completely set up and ready to illustrate once guests arrive. We will photograph any interested attendees who want their portrait drawn so that they don’t have to stay at our table and miss out on any festivities. Together, we will work on portraits throughout the night, and any that do not get completed within the booked session will be finished at our home studio and delivered to you within three weeks of the event :)
How long does each drawing take?
Each drawing takes between 6-12 minutes, depending on whether it is a single portrait vs a pair, as well as the level of detail in their attire.
Please note that the amount of time can vary depending on how many guests are stopping to chat/ask questions, etc.
And Yes, We Save Something for You, Too.
Every wedding package includes a larger, more detailed painted portrait of the newlyweds.
We'll create it after your wedding using a favorite photograph from the day, giving us the time and space to create something truly special rather than rushing to finish it during the reception.
It's your piece of the celebration, something you can frame, hang in your home, and come back to years from now.
Your guests get a piece of the day. You get to keep one, too.
How many people can you guarantee will be drawn during my event?
We want your guests to get their portraits. We always work as quickly and carefully as possible throughout your celebration, but because every portrait is custom, we can't guarantee that every interested guest will be completed before the reception ends.
If there are unfinished portraits within your package, don't worry! We'll finish them in our home studio and send them to you within three weeks of your wedding, along with printed reference photos, envelopes, and stamps.
Where are you located? Do you travel?
We are located in Asheville, North Carolina! We love to travel and would be thrilled to do so for your event. Depending on the distance, whether an overnight stay will be required, etc., travel fees will vary accordingly and will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking and detailed in our contract.
There are no travel fees for locations within 90 miles of the Asheville airport.
What is your pricing?
Great question! Pricing varies depending on the number of guests, whether or not travel (beyond 100 miles driving) is required, and if you add on a flower wall backdrop, photo booth, etc.

We've spent years working professionally as artists, teaching hundreds of painting classes, illustrating professionally, and most importantly learning how to create art while people are watching.
Your wedding isn't a production we simply show up to. We become part of the celebration and take care of the art while you enjoy your day.
